Fiegl, Marion J. (nee Busch)
Jan. 28, 2025

Entered into rest at age 91. Beloved wife for 67 years to the late Benedict “Dick” Fiegl. Loving mother of Thomas, Kay Fiegl-Bock (Mitchell Bock) and the late Steven Fiegl. Also survived by her grandson Dennis and nieces Barbara Julicher and Jane Widdowfield. Daughter of the late Henry and Mary (nee Dolecki) Busch, stepdaughter of the late Harriet Busch, stepsister to the late Helen Gregorio and Joseph Ruddy. She also survived her beloved dogs and cats. Marion cherished her many friendships, especially those of her couples club spanning 70 years,
her neighbors and her Toronto friend. Raised for several years by a single father, she was taken to professional wrestling matches and roller derby. She lead an active life since childhood, serving as the Kenmore H.S. softball pitcher, and playing on the lacrosse and bowling teams. She enjoyed figure and roller skating, dancing tap, ballet and swing and gardening. Later she ran, walked, and enjoyed water aerobics where she made new book club friends. She enjoyed painting and was a member of the Williamsville Art Society. She was a proud member of the Delta Beta Phi sorority. By all accounts from her yearbooks, she was known as the “nicest girl” and a “swell gal”. Marion loved music, played and taught piano and enjoyed listening to Nat King Cole, Johnny Mathis, Frank Sinatra, the Fifth Dimension and the Association on her hi-fi stereo. She had the pleasure of seeing Sammy Davis, Jr. and Jimmy Durante perform live. As a child, she sang “Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree” on the radio. Marion was happily retired since 1995 from Commercial Collection Corp. She enjoyed her annual vacation with Dick to Puerto Vallarta and their European anniversary trip. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, February 15 at 10:30 am, St. Benedict Church, 1317 Eggert Rd.,
Amherst. Online condolences at www.TheDietrichFuneralHome.com
