Program for Barbara’s Celebration of Life
I am so very sorry for your loss. Barbara was a very sweet person.
We are very sorry to hear of (Aunt) Barb’s passing… condolences to all her family…
Dear Warren, and the Kinkel and Bronkie families, I’m so sorry for your loss and so happy for you that you had Barbara in your lives. To say I knew Barbara since before I was born may sound impossible, but its true. Barbara and my mom Arlene (Rahill) Bolt graduated from Buff State together, were close friends who bought homes on the same Cadman Drive in Williamsville, NY. It was there that son Bob and I were born. Our moms even taught in the same schools together. They were both teachers at Maple East, and when I was a 5th grader there, and I used to be Barbara’s milk delivery guy for her kindergarden class every monring. It got me out of social studies for 10 minutes, which I greatly appreciated.
Besides both living on Cadman Drive, we were all members of the long-gone Trap & Field Club, where Bob and I were on our first swim teams, (the first of many teams, bands, and classes we shared over the years). We went to kindergarden at Academy School together, and when my family returned to Williamsville in 1967, and Bob and I were reunited at Mill Middle School. We were both in the Mill and later Williamsville South bands, which Bob took much more seriously than I. For a while, we shared some swimming relay records together as well. We would hang out at the Kinkel house playing vinyl records, messing around in the photography dark room, and Mrs. Kinkel would keep an ever watchful eye over a couple of teenagers acting like kindergardeners as we somehow progressed to adulthood.
Barbara was wonderful and comforting at my dad’s wake, and then later at my mom’s service. They were all lifelong friends. I mean that literally – lifelong. Just like Bob and I. Again, I believe that our relationships started prebirth, so longer than lifelong.
We will miss your smile and kindness, but we know you are with family and friends now and for eternaty. Say hi to my mom and dad. You will always be in our thoughts and prayers. Safe travels frin your Maple East milk delivery guy, Dan Rahill
