Passed away peacefully in the morning in Buffalo, New York. He was surrounded by love and family, and survived by his wife, Carol, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories. He is preceded in death by his parents Hazel (Post) and Benjamin Drongosky and sister, Denise Schoenfeldt. Ben was the proud father of four children: Chris Drongosky (Charlene Secondo), Michael Drongosky (Justyna Wojcik), Mary Domb (Dominic Mazzuca), and Beth (Frank) Cannon. A cherished grandfather to eight grandchildren, great-grandfather to seven, Ben delighted in watching his family grow across generations. No prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 2nd at 9:30 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 30 Lamarck Drive, Amherst, NY 14226. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Ben’s memory to Brother’s Keeper Ministries, 320 NW 10th Street, Ocala, FL 34475. Online condolences may be placed at www.TheDietrichFuneralHome.com.
To my sister Carol and Family,
Dean and I have been and will continue to offer prayers for Ben and your family.
“The Divine Heart is an ocean full of all good things, wherein poor souls can cast all their needs; it is an ocean full of joy to drown all our sadness, an ocean of humility to drown our folly, an ocean of mercy to those in distress, an ocean of love in which to submerge our poverty.”

Deep condolences to the family of Benjamin Drongosky who was just called by God. In this time of sadness and sorrow, we pray for courage and strength
for all of you. May he rests in peace with the angels.
Our deepest sympathy to Carol, children and family on the passing of Ben. He was a wonderful friend and Classmate and will be sadly missed by all of us who knew him. Many fond memories of Ben and as my wife called him, “The Polka King.” May God grant him eternal life and peace for life well lived in His service.

I just now read of Mr. Drongosky’s passing. I played shortstop for Coach Drongosky on the Central Amherst AA Cubs in the summer of 1966. On seeing the notice I instantly remembered how nervous I was for my first ever ‘official’ baseball game and just as quickly remembered how calmly supportive Coach Drongosky was for me that evening behind Amherst Junior High. I don’t recall our paths crossing much after that summer, but I will always remember my 1st little league coach and how wonderful that summer of baseball was for me!
Condolences to Chris and the family, and happy to read what a full and long life Mr. Drongosky enjoyed.
