49 years to Barbara (nee Otoka) Stelmach;
dedicated father of Carrie Lynn;
son of the late Frank and Sophie Stelmach.

FUNERAL HOME INC., 2480 Kensington,
Amherst. A Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at
11 AM at St. Benedict’s Church, 1317
Eggert Rd., Eggertsville. Please assemble
at church. Daniel was 74 years
old and died peacefully in his home, after
a long illness. He was an insurance
and real estate Broker, born in Buffalo,
NY, he graduated from Kensington
High School and Bryant & Stratton
Institue with an Associates degree in
Accounting. He served in the National
Guard. He began his career working at
Mioducki-Stelmach Agency and moved
on to become the first insurance representative
for Cuna Mutual Insurance,
serving the Northeast District Credit
Unions. In 1975, along with his wife, he
purchased Mioducki-Stelmach Agency,
that he ran as Stelmach Agency, Inc.,
until his retirement in 2000. He was
a Past Commodore and an officer of
the Tonawanda Island Launch Club,
member of the International Order of
the Blue Gavel, officer for the Nardin
Academy Parents Council, member of
the Harbour Lights Lighthouse Society,
the Buffalo Niagara Partnership,
the Corvette Club of Buffalo and the
Independent Agents and Real Estate
Brokers. An avid boater, he enjoyed
being on the Niagara River, Erie Canal
and Lake Erie, as well as supporting
Buffalo’s sports teams. Most of all, he
enjoyed holidays and summers at his
beach home in Canada with family and
friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials
may be made to the SPCA or a charity
