Much loved husband and friend, died at
age 64 on November 6, 2020 suddenly
yet peacefully. Predeceased by parents
Joanne and Jack Potter and sister
Susan Potter; survived by his loving
wife, Michele Kennedy Potter; brother
John Potter (Reno, NV), brother Peter
Potter (Tampa, FL); nieces Melissa
(Jason) O’Connor, Dena Potter
and nephews James Potter, John
(Sarah) Quartieri. Dan was a lifelong
supporter of Causewave Community
Partners, the organization founded
in 1950 by his grandfather, Waldo B.
“Pete” Potter, Eastman Kodak Vice
President of Advertising, as the Ad
Council of Rochester. Dan was a
charter member of the organization’s
W.B. Potter Society, and an avid and
compassionate student of a wide
range of community issues, from organ
donation to education to traffic safety. In
addition Dan was an active sportsman
managing both the RAA golf league and
the Frog King bowling league. His love
for sailing afforded him the opportunity
to crew with Franz Schwenk on the Umi
Taka of the Rochester Yacht Club and
celebrated with a win of the hundredth
anniversary of LYRA. He was a long
term member of the Rochester Ski club
and had his share of fishing trophies
in both the U.S. and Canada. Last but
not least he was an unwavering fan of
the Buffalo Bills. Danny had a full and
active life, dedicating himself to his
wife, family, and friends. His greatest
satisfaction was to share a story and
a laugh. That dedication along with
his natural ability and desire to make
a positive connection with everyone he
came into contact with, will be greatly
missed. Donations may be made in
Dan’s memory to Lollypop Farms,
