SERRANO – Dr. Adela (nee Machiran) May 8, 2011. Born in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba, She resided in Buffalo since 2000. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Diomedes Serrano; loving mother of Alicia Granto-Estenoz (Antonio), Andres Serrano (Gloria) and the late Mariadela Serrano; she is survived by her sister Dr. Consuelo (Miguel) Sague of Miami, FL.; five adoring grandchildren in the area, Gina (Joseph) Penque, Jerry (Anne) Granto II, Angie (Ronald) Lucarini, Diann (John) Bialik and Elena (Edward) White; in addition to Angelina Serrano and Karina Butterfield, out of state. Mrs. Serrano also leaves behind 21 great-grandchildren, known as the "Eternal Educator" she taught at Gaskill Junior High in Niagara Falls, N.Y., besides Englewood High and Fairleigh Dickinson University, both in New Jersey. Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, May 14th at 11 AM at Holy Angels Church, 348 Porter Ave., Buffalo, 14201. In her memory, donations to Meals on Wheels in Buffalo.
