February 5, 2017, age 85, of
Williamsville, after a long illness;
beloved husband of 54 years to Joan
(nee Deck) Peard. Ed grew up in
Kenmore and graduated from Kenmore
Senior High School. He attended the
University of Buffalo for his
Bachelor’s and Master’s degree and
additional post graduate studies, and
he was a graduate of the Catholic Biblical
School. Following graduation Ed
pursued a career in business but was
soon drawn to education. Ed was an
English teacher at Seneca Vocational
High School for over 30 years, and
as a teacher he shared his love of the
English language and literature with
his students. Ed was also a talented
professional musician. He played piano
with many well known WNY groups
and often performed solo in his later
years. Family and friends may call

Ave., Amherst. A Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated on Friday
at 10:30 AM at St. Gregory the Great
Church, 200 St. Gregory Ct., Williamsville.
