FRIEDMAN – Helen
(nee Lyttle )
December 30, 2012; beloved wife of the
late Franklin (Frank) “Red the Barber
Friedman”; predeceased by parents
Edith (Brice) and Roy Lyttle; sisters,
Elizabeth and Bertha; and brother
Jessie; survived by loving nieces and
nephews and numerous friends. Helen
was raised in Bergen, NY and lived over
40 years in the Bailey-Delavan area of
Buffalo. Her husband Red owned and
operated a neighborhood barber shop
which adjoined their home. After Red’s
passing, Helen returned to live in
Bergen, NY, in the home where she
was raised. Helen was known for her
generous hospitality, interior decorating
flare, helpfulness to family and friends,
compassionate care towards numerous
ailing relatives, love of animals, excellent
sense of humor, and wonderful
story telling qualities. The family would
like to sincerely thank all of the aides
who assisted Helen in her Bergen home
for many years. Family and friends will
be present Saturday January 5th, from
10-11:30 AM, where services will be
held at 11:30 at the DIETRICH
FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2480 Kensington
Ave., Amherst, NY 14226. Donations
