DOWD – Jean September 3, 2012, daughter of Mary Kelly Bishop and Thomas Patrick Dowd; stepdaughter of Kenneth Bishop; survived by brothers Thomas (Mary), Michael (Leslie Bergman) and Brian (Theresa), and sisters Mary Ann (Michael) Harrington, Jane (Jack) Shea and Suzanne Park; aunt to 14 nieces and nephews; numerous friends who acted as caregivers during her extended illness, especially Pat Wolf and Pat Tower. Born in Buffalo, longtime resident of Amherst, Jean graduated from Nardin Academy, earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Math Education from Rosary Hill College and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Niagara University.
