January 18, 2014, age 81, passed
away peacefully in Sarasota, FL, wife of
Theodore Kurtz; dear mother of Greg,
Doug and Michelle; grandmother of
Eric and Krystin; sister of Carol Opiela
and Sharon Walsh; daughter of the late
Joseph and Gertrude Kinecki. A private
funeral will be held at the convenience
of the family. Jeanette was born in Buffalo
and graduated from Buffalo State
College. She taught art throughout her
life and was long time supporter of
historic preservation efforts in Buffalo
and Schenectady. She also enjoyed
sculpting, painting and was a lifelong
gardener. In lieu of flowers, donations
