October 31, 2021, age 91. Beloved
wife of 43 years to Edward H. Coughlin,
a Buffalo Attorney who passed away
in 1999; loving mother of Mark E.
(Mary Anne) and Michael P. Coughlin;
devoted grandmother of Adam G.
(Kimberly) and Matthew E. Coughlin.
Joan, a graduate and later an English
teacher at the Buffalo Academy of the
Sacred Heart was born in Buffalo and
was a member of the first graduating
class of Rosary Hill College, receiving
her Bachelor of Arts degree in English,
followed by a Master of Science degree
from Buffalo State Teachers College.
