Ross; beloved sister of Resi (Josef
Tschenett) Schmid and the late Gerhard
A. (Mary Lou), Heinz and Adolf
Reile; sister-in-law of Marianne Reile;
also survived by many loving nieces
and nephews in both the US and Germany.
No prior visitation. A Memorial

Service will be held on Tuesday at
10 AM at the DIETRICH FUNERAL
HOME, INC., 2480 Kensington Ave.,
Amherst. In lieu of flowers, memorials
may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Born in Wasserburg, Bavaria,
Germany. She came to US and Buffalo
in 1947, followed by two brothers Adolf
and Gerhard. Worked at US Gypsum in
Buffalo before she was married. Married
in 1952 to Christopher T. W. Ross.
During the 1960’s, she was very active
with the Buffalo Athletic Club on Delaware
Ave. Was a Personnel Manager
at Arcata Graphics, Depew, N.Y. during
the 1970’s thru 1980’s. Received her
B.A. degree with a major and minor,
Magna Cum Laude from the State University
of New York at Buffalo in 1975.
She was an avid skier, swimmer and
traveler and loved cats, dogs and horses.
Lover of the arts and world history.
She was a volunteer docent at the
Frank Lloyd Wright Darwin Martin
House in Buffalo and Shea’s Performing
Arts. She will be remembered by
her children as a wonderful, lovely,
inspiration for life and family. Online
