In Rochester, previously of Buffalo,
NY, died at age 89, Saturday, May 12,
2018, born in Birdville, PA. He was son
to Newell T. and Katherine (Maxwell)
Sorenson; known affectionately to
family and friends as “Bud”. A U.S.
Army veteran, he served with the
Occupation Forces in Japan following
WWII being honorably discharged in
1949. He worked various jobs in the
Buffalo area, including at Bethlehem
Steel as a painter and wallpaper hanger
and for many years delivered flowers
for Mischler’s Florist in Williamsville.
Predeceased by his parents, brothers
Howard and Robert, sisters Jean
and June, sons Patrick and Daniel.
He leaves wife of 66 years, Nancy R.
(nee Carroll), son Michael (Camille),
grandchildren Kimberly and Eric;
also survived by many nieces and
nephews. Family and friends may call
on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM
at DIETRICH FUNERAL HOME, INC.,
2480 Kensington Ave., Amherst, NY

be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM at

Dr., Cheektowaga, NY 14225. Please

Hospital in Rochester for their kindness
and special care they gave Bud in
his final months. Flowers gratefully
