So sorry for your loss. Always loved seeing Pete and Dallas at springville when we were still members. I am sure he will be missed by everyone.
Great teacher, coach and all around great person. He will be missed. You are all in our prayers.
Great man great family! So sorry for your loss , peace to the Jantzi family!
My prayers are with you and your family Eric.
One of my first football coaches at O P high school. Always enjoyed running into each other over the years and telling stories. He is and will be missed.
Ahhhhh… he was the best! Pretty much the reason I wanted to be a math teacher. Wish I had the chance to tell him that. He was my football coach and math teacher. I’m living a full life of competitive adult sports because of Mr Jantzi. Such a pleasant man.
I met Pete about 15 years ago. from the beginning I saw him as a genuine person. I admired his get up and go –
and his never sit still attitude. He loved keeping busy and helping people. I will miss him dearly.
To the family of Peter Jantzi:
I was sorry to hear about Pete’s passing. He, Joe and I spent many hours together in Lac du Cerf and I considered him a friend. I hope they have walleye in Heaven.

My deepest condolences to the Jantzi famliy for such a great loss I known Peter for a long time great friend wonderful family will be missed amen
Mr. Jantzi was the only guy I knew with a hockey puck outlined on the back of his head. He was tough but fair. Loved his family. He was an elite coach for us guys. But he always insisted that schooling came before sports. In 1963, I had to give up football until I improved my mathematics grade. That really hurt but it was absolutely the right thing to do. Thank you for the memories Mr. Jantzi.
Rest In Peace Mr. Jantzi. You were a fine teacher and good man. Over the years I thought of you often. You taught me Intermediate Algebra in 1963-4 and were my supervising teacher for student teaching in 1973. You were an inspiration that guided me to my Bachelors Degree in Mathematics. I cherish many crystal clear memories of you including a loving, motivational punch in the arm for wising off in class. I never quite reached your expertise in classroom management, but I finished my teaching career very successfully teaching Calculus and Geometry in rural Texas. God’s Speed you will always be Mister Jantzi as I hold you dear to my heat. Will Myers 1965 O.P.
May his memory be eternal!
Dallas,
My heart is broken by Peter’s passing. I feel so badly for you and your family to have to go through this. He was a wonderful man, father, grandfather, and friend. Many people will miss him, myself included. He left us too early but will not be forgotten. Peter was a man of wit and I will miss the way he always kidded me. He was kind and always had a generosity of spirit. He gave so much to so many. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Mr Jantzi volunteered a lot of time to coaching, I remember him as being kind and helping me in my development as a young man.
Condolences to Dallas, Craig, Eric, and Doug
Whether on the JV Football field in ’69 or in the classroom, there was always “respect” Coach/Mr. Jantzi commanded. It was more of a “healthy” fear. I (and many others) just wanted to do our best either in the classroom, where he was an excellent teacher, or on the field for the guy. If you didn’t he’d just give you “the look.” And God forbid you didn’t tick him off while you were in the classroom during football season:).
Really appreciated seeing Mrs. Jantzi, the three sons, and seven grandchildren highlighted this Father’s Day weekend. Mr./Coach Jantzi truly had a positive “Father” effect on so many other young people as well during his career.
So sorry for your family’s loss.
I will always remember him as a good man and a great coach. My sincere condolences to the Jantzi family.
Aunt Dallas, Craig, Eric, Doug and families, Uncle Pete will be missed by so many. So many memories for all of you together as a wonderful family. Greg and I will never forget our trip to Quebec as a young couple staying with your young family. Doug would say as a very young boy, are we going bass fishing tonite! Well Greg so cherished going to Quebec the last couple Memorial day weekends with Uncle Pete and the men! A lot of laughs and memories to cherish forever. Uncle Pete and Aunt Dallas have a life together to celebrate and cherish, their great health and all the blessings they were given together to share. May Uncle Pete be in heaven now watching all of you that he loved so much.
Peter was so many things to so many people. As a coach, teacher and friend he commanded respect and will always be remembered for the impact he made on their lives Peter will be missed!
