He was 86. Born in Buffalo, Mr. Willman served in the Army for two years as a master sergeant in the German occupation during the Korean War years. A Town of Tonawanda resident, he retired from Bell Aerospace in 1992 after a 45-year career. An avid hunter and fisherman, Mr. Willman owned a cabin in Franklinville, known as “the ranch” to his family. In addition, he was an active member of his community and served as councilman for Boy Scout Troop 229 for 10 years. Mr. Willman was a familiar presence at the Buffalo VA on Bailey Avenue, where his daughter works, often seen riding a motorized scooter and wearing a “Secret
Service, Buffalo Field Office” hat – given to him by his son, who worked for the agency. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, the former June Snider; a daughter, Nancy Criscione; a son, James; and four grandchildren.
Services with military honors will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Church of the Apostles, 75 17th Ave., North Tonawanda.
