Roger Brian Grady was born to Roger Grady and Marcella Romans in Amherst, NY. Growing up, he spent his time playing sports and socializing with friends. He was married to Laurie (Labushesky) Grady and had two children, Sean and Taylor. He devoted his life to his family, spending much of his time coaching his children’s sports teams, helping them with schoolwork, going on family trips, and keeping them laughing along the way. Roger had many friends who he cherished very dearly. He enjoyed going golfing, bike riding, weightlifting, baseball, basketball, and being outdoors. Roger was a hardworking, dedicated, selfless man who had a great sense of humor. He provided guidance and wisdom to those around him, and was always someone you could rely on. Roger will be greatly missed by both his family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at the convenience of the family. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to Hospice. Online condolences may be placed at www.TheDietrichFuneralHome.com
To Roger’s family;
My family’s sincere condolences. Roger meant so much to us, he was the older brother I never had.
I will never forget all the times we spent together, like playing softball, traveling, and so much more.
I/we will miss and never forget you. All our friends and I will be raising a glass to you.
Rest in Peace my Good Friend
The Cappello Family
Roger was my classmate through St. Joes and Canisius. His wry smile and quick wit endeared him to those with whom he came in contact. He became a regular attendee at our reunion luncheons and I always looked forward to his vivid recollections of our days on Kenmore Ave. The last time I saw Roger was at Roswell Park when he stoically informed me that he had an incurable form of cancer. With his wife at his side, he said, “I have the best care one could ask for and, I have my family.” That is what mattered most to him and that is what presents the true measure of the man. My heart is saddened as I extend my condolences to his family and loved ones. Rest in peace, my friend. Live Jesus in our hearts…forever.
