Service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in early Spring. SMITH – Sheridan D. February 17, 2010. Beloved husband of Elaine W. (Priester) Smith; loving father of Karen D’Aprix. Sheridan and Elaine met in 1939, when they both worked at Niagara Machine & Tool. They were engaged in 1943 and married on May 11, 1946 at St. Mary of Sorrows R.C. Church in Buffalo over 60 years ago. Sheridan left Niagara in 1943 to join the Army and was a member of of the Third Army, 712th Railway Operating Battalion Co. B. He then worked in the field of Aerospace Engineering for 40 years. He worked for Cornell Laboratory which later became Calspan from 1946 until his retirement in 1986. A Memorial
