Cousins for eternity. Will miss you so much..
Mrs.Bruce was one of those”teachers” who you remember forever as she encouraged me to persevere and believed in me when I needed it most ! She was a remarkable humble Nurse Practitioner & person!
I initially met Sue when we were working at the Buffalo Medical Group in 1979. She was the first NP that I ever saw in practice, and she was an inspiration to many of us who followed in her footsteps. Sue was smart, funny and unassuming. In her role at UB, she used her vast experience to impart knowledge with a practical spin that everyone could relate to. I still remember her instructions when documenting a history and physical: “Write it like a lawyer is going to read it.” With all due respect to the legal profession, after 30 years I’ve never forgotten her advice. Sue leaves a tremendous legacy in the nursing community. May she rest in peace.
Sue was the epitome of a great teacher, a great clinician, and a great nurse. She mentored many students and was highly respected by her colleagues. She was a role model for many. They don’t make them like her any more. Rest in peace Sue. Your work here is done and you’ve accomplished much.
