Age 86 passed away in Cape Coral, Florida on September 10, 2025. Born in Buffalo, NY to the late Edwin J. and Catherine (nee Moore) Gaiser. Throughout Anne’s life, she was primarily a Cardiac Operating Room Specialist. Anne was educated at the Sisters Hospital School of Nursing in Buffalo, N.Y. She began her nursing career at the Veterans Hospital in Buffalo where she remained for 30 years. The highlight of her career was participating in a supervisory role at the first cardiac transplant surgery to take place in Buffalo, N.Y. Upon leaving Buffalo, Anne and her husband John moved to Hampton, V.A and eventually Houston, T.X. to oversee the VA Cardiac Operating Facilities. After 7 years in Texas and a long career, Anne retired to Cape Coral, F.L. where Anne and John were active golfers and boating enthusiasts. Anne L. Tallman was an active member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses. Beloved wife of John Tallman. Loving mother of Jon (Judy) Tallman, Kelly Ann (Ken) McAvoy and Catherine (Tim) Reardon of Crofton MD. Devoted grandmother of AJ, Anna, Aaron Tallman, Brian, Katherine and Margaret McAvoy, Sarah, Hannah and Magnus Reardon. Dear sister of the late Edwin Gaiser, Myra Lewis, Nancy Evans and Mary Jane Herrmann. Also survived by nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Wednesday Sept. 17, 2025 from 4-7 pm at The Dietrich Funeral Home Inc., 2480 Kensington Ave. Amherst, NY 14226. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday Sept. 18, 2025 at Christ the King Church, 30 Lamarck Dr. Amherst, NY 14226. Please assemble at church. Flowers gratefully declined.
