Ben K. Seon passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. Beloved husband of Takako Seon. Loving father of Carl (Anita) Seon, Amy Seon and Mae Seon. Loving grandfather of Jillian Seon.

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Seon’s passing. I worked for him for 14 years, 2008-2022. He had a very sharp mind and had numerous ideas. I remember he walked 5 flights of stairs every day, such a feat for a man his age. He put me to shame and set an example for many of us in Immunology Department to start climbing stairs. Condolences to his sweet wife Takako. He will be missed by many 😞
Dr. Seon was a dear colleague, friend, and mentor to so many. He will be immensely missed but I deeply believe that the impact of his personal and professional legacy will forever persist. Sending my deepest sympathies to Mrs. Seon and his entire family. May he rest in peace with all other giants in science.
