SPIN – Beverly M. of Lockport, NY passed peacefully May 10th, 2025 at the age of 72, after a brave and unwavering battle with cancer.

Known lovingly as “Bev” by friends and family, she was born and raised in Buffalo, New York to the late Jack E. And Elizabeth A. (Culligan) Gauthier. Beverly later moved to Lockport where she raised her two children and built a life rooted in love, laughter, and selfless care. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother—and to all who knew her, she was the embodiment of kindness, resilience, and unconditional love.

Beverly is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, Michael J. Spin; her beloved children, Nicky Spin and Michael D. (Cathe) Spin; and her granddaughters, Hailey and Samantha Spin, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Judith (late Dennis) Wnek and Donna (Robert Carr) Gauthier. Adored nieces and nephews: Ashley and Robert Paladino, and David J. (Robin) Gauthier. Also survived by her great nephew Anthony Mancone, her great niece Malania McKeever, and her great-great nephew Lorenzo Gauthier.

Beverly was predeceased by her sister Frances (late Anthony D. DeMarie) Gauthier-DeMarie and her great nephew, Dalton Gauthier.

Beverly spent many years working at Villager Associates in Lockport, where she carried out her work with quiet grace and dignity. But her true calling was caring for others. Selfless to her core, Beverly gave her time, energy, and heart to everyone around her. Her quick wit, warm humor, and ability to make people feel seen and valued left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

A memorial service to celebrate Beverly’s life will be held at Dietrich Funeral Home (2480 Kensington Avenue in Amherst, NYon Tuesday, May 20th. Calling hours will be from 4:00–5:30 p.m., followed by a service from 5:30–6:00 p.m.
