Chuck was a loving husband to my sister and a proud father of his son and grandchildren. He wasn’t overly generous with his words but, when he spoke, his sense of humor was obvious. The memory of him that sticks in my mind was of him perching my toddler boys on the seat of his prized motorcycle, complete with helmets! Ride now with the angels Chuck.
My condolences to the family.
The Southwestern Association of Volunteer Firemen, State of New York extends its condolences and sincere sympathy to the family of Charles Allen Mercer, and to the members of the Cleve-Hill Fire Company. We give thanks for his service to his community; providing aid, protection, and comfort to those in distress.
Chuck was a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2692 Eagle Riders motorcycle club. All of us will miss him dearly.
Rest in peace Chuck. May eternal light shine upon you. Thank you for all the great memories, (riding on the fire truck in the Dyngus Day parade, Christmas Eve at my home so you were not alone, all the great soups and pizza that you made me and dropped off, dinners at the Casino and times at the Eagles #2692 to name a few ). You will be missed my friend. My deepest sympathies to the family at this difficult time.

May Chuck’s spirit find peace and rest with his loved ones
Chuck, I am sorry for your lost. I have thought about your father and you. Just never took the drive to see if I could fine you. I remember good things about your dad.
