Service: Tuesday, January 16, 2018: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am at Christ the King Church, 30 Lamarck Dr., Snyder. WANDASS – Dennis J.
Dennis passed on
peacefully surrounded
by his beloved wife Emily
Scherer Wandass (nee
Russell) on January 11,
2018. He was preceded
in death by his parents
Joseph and Estelle Wandass Sr.; dear
brother of Adele Wandass and the late
Irene (Zygmund) Skowronski, Joseph
(Alice) Wandass Jr. and Raymond
Wandass. Also survived by Karen
(Patrick) Parry, Mark (Colleen) Scherer,
Lisa Scherer and Paul (Leondra)
Scherer; uncle of Gary Skowronski, Dr.
Joseph (Lisa) Wandass III, and the late
Paul Skowronski; grandfather of six
grandchildren. Dennis was a US Army
Veteran of the Vietnam War followed by
several years as a Project Manager at
the General Motors Powertrain
Tonawanda Engine Plant. Family and
friends may call on Tuesday, January
16, 2018 from 9:30-10:30AM at the
DIETRICH FUNERAL HOME, INC.,
2480 Kensington Ave., Amherst where
prayers will be offered at 10:30AM,
followed by a Mass of Christian Burial
at Christ the King Church, 30 Lamarck
Dr., Snyder, NY at 11AM. Flowers
gratefully declined, those wishing to
make a remembrance, donations to the
Buffalo Transportation Pierce Arrow
Museum or Harris Hill Nursing Facility,
Activity Center in Dennis’ name are
much appreciated. The family would
like to thank Sharon Holloway and the
staff of Harris Hill Nursing Facility for
their comforting care and dedication.
