Beloved wife of Timothy Philbin. Loving mother of Maureen (Jordan) Grabar and William (Courtney Kerrigan) Philbin. Loving Nana of Owen Grabar and Lyla Grabar. Loving sister of Tona (Thomas) Nichols, Laurie (Benjamin) Madonia, and Gina Gartley. Cherished sister-in-law of Patrick (Iva), Thomas (Kathleen) and Phillip (Maria) Philbin. Lovingly remembered by sixteen nieces and nephews and fourteen great nieces and nephews. Friends and family may visit on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 4 – 7p.m. at the Dietrich Funeral Home, 2480 Kensington Ave., Amherst, N.Y. 14226. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 30 Lamarck Dr. (at Main St.), Amherst, NY 14226. Please assemble at church. Gail was a beautiful lady with a beautiful soul! I’m so very sorry for your loss. I hope you believe she truly is always with you.

Gail was the best friend anyone could ever ask for. We always had lunch every week and she was forever there to pick me up and take me all over running errands. She was always there for me and was a wonderful grandmother to Owen and Lyla. She will be dearly missed.

I just read about the passing of Gail. I’m so very sorry for her family. I worked with her many years ago at Independent Health until I retired. She was a beautiful person and so very kind and always had a smile for everyone. Rest in Peace Gail.
