Lawrence G. Carlin
September 1, 2026, at age 88 of Williamsville, NY. Beloved husband and friend of Amelia Marie (nee Dalley) and the late Theresa (nee Diegelman) Carlin. Devoted and loving Dad of Lawrence G., Jr., Richard and Robert Carlin; dearest grandfather of Jena (John) Fiorella, Richelle (Achilles) Gikas, Chelsea (Luke) Vitello and Kevin Carlin; great-grandfather of Giana, Mia and Nina. Dear brother of Diane (late Paul) Steinwachs, Thomas (late Judy), Dennis (late Claudette), John, and the late Terri (Edward) Pirrung, Maureen (Shaun) Stevenson, Joan (Jeremiah, II) O’Connor, Deacon Robert and Richard Carlin. Also survived by the entire Diegelman family, many nieces and nephews and friends. Larry was a 1956 graduate of Bishop Fallon High School; served in the 328th Division of the 914th Squadron of the US Air Force Reserves in Niagara Falls. Retired from Verizon, he belonged to the CWA and was a life member of the Verizon Telecom New Vision Pioneers. Larry was a good, long-time friend to all. He was always busy helping people with their practical needs. He had a long-time interest in classic American cars; of course, Ford and Mercury were his favorites. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 10:30 am at St. Mary’s Church, 6919 Transit Rd., E. Amherst, where interment will immediately follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 8255 County Road, E. Amherst. Please assemble at Church.
