Passed away at 84 years of age. Beloved husband of 56 years of Sandra (nee Rebhan) Sherer. Loving father of Jon (Jennifer). Loving grandfather of Destiny, Kane, Alaina and Hunter. Survived by many nieces and nephews. No prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday January 31, 2025 at 9:30am at St. Leo the Great Church, 885 Sweet Home Rd. Known to us as Uncle “Bob” but we knew him from the old neighborhood in Pine Hill and from the Schiller Park Lanes on Genesee Street. A consummate photographer he always had the newest gadgets and loved to share and showcase them. He loved the outdoors whether on his boat, “Sherer Heaven” with Sandy or in the woods camping with his RV. He was a devoted husband and father who sacrificed and fiercely loved his family. The family pictures of the assembled family at his house on Christmas Day remain memories for a lifetime. He always lifted us up, in life experiences with a great story or shared family memories. We will love and miss him until we meet again. We will sing to him, “The Parting Glass” in his honor and memory.
