Ruth was a lovely lady. She made rosaries for the church for distribution to the poor. She will be missed.
A Poem for Ruth Whipple ~
There are names that we carry like songs in the dark,
No distance could ever diminish their spark.
Your name is a melody woven with mine,
A friendship that weathered the passage of time.
We could go without speaking for months in a row.
You’ve always known who I was since long, long ago.
We’d pick up a sentence we’d left in the air,
Like no time had passed, and we had not a care.
But the world is much quieter now you are gone,
We had a lifetime of conversation, spirited and long.
While the love you left me is steady and true,
I’m truly glad for the time that I traveled with you.
Be at peace Ruth.
